Instapay Warns Users Against Fraudulent Requests for Personal or Banking Data
Instapay, the instant payments network operating under the Central Bank of Egypt, has issued an urgent advisory cautioning customers against responding to any unsolicited requests for personal information or banking details.
In its statement, Instapay stressed that it never asks users to share personal data, bank account information, or card details through text messages, phone calls, or any other unofficial communication channels. The platform highlighted that any entity claiming to contact customers on its behalf is engaging in impersonation and should be treated with extreme caution.
Instapay also clarified that it does not offer any rewards, points programs, or promotional schemes, underscoring that such claims are entirely false and not affiliated with the service.
The network reaffirmed its ongoing commitment to safeguarding user data and urged customers to rely solely on the platform’s official and verified channels for any inquiries or transactions.
