Orange Egypt Named Official Telecom Partner of Cairo International Art District to Champion Culture and Creativity

Reinforcing its commitment to promoting art, culture, and community engagement, Orange Egypt has announced its official sponsorship of the fifth edition of the Cairo International Art District (CIAD). Organized by Art D’Égypte, a subsidiary of CulturVator, the event runs from October 12 to November 16 across several historic sites in Downtown Cairo, bringing together creative works by more than 150 local and international artists alongside diverse cultural programs and daring artistic projects.
As the official telecom partner, Orange Egypt aims to enhance the visitor and artist experience by providing seamless communication services throughout the event. The exhibition will be hosted across a collection of restored heritage venues, including Villa Victoria, Villa Violet, Wlad El Balad, Shorbagy Rooftop, and Kodak Passage — all of which are iconic landmarks that celebrate Cairo’s architectural and cultural renaissance.
Empowering Artists Through Art and Technology
In partnership with UNESCO, Orange Egypt is also supporting the “Art Guides” program, one of CIAD’s key educational initiatives. The program engages art students, university undergraduates, and young creatives to promote cultural exchange and raise global awareness of Egypt’s artistic heritage. Participants gain valuable hands-on experience in contemporary art and direct interaction with renowned international artists, culminating in official recognition certificates honoring their contributions.
The program also features educational lectures, digital art discussions, and school and university tours, aligning with a broader vision to make art more inclusive, accessible, and reflective of cultural diversity.
Orange Egypt’s Ongoing Commitment to Culture and Social Impact
Commenting on the occasion, Maha Nagy, Executive Vice President of Public Relations, Media, and Corporate Communications at Orange Egypt, said:
> “At Orange Egypt, we believe that art is the language of the future — a bridge that connects people and ideas. By merging art and technology, we can inspire more creative realities. We are proud to continuously support initiatives like the Cairo International Art District, which empower young artists and provide them with platforms to showcase their work to both local and international audiences, reaffirming Egypt’s position as a leading cultural hub in the region and beyond.”
Orange Egypt has a rich history of supporting art and social initiatives. The company has previously sponsored the “Le Printemps des Artistes” exhibition for three consecutive years — an annual charity art event held under the patronage of the French Embassy in Egypt. This year’s edition brought together 79 artists from Egypt and around the world, celebrating creativity and solidarity. Proceeds from the event were donated to Samusocial International Égypte, a non-governmental organization dedicated to protecting and rehabilitating street children and young women in Cairo.
Through such initiatives, Orange Egypt reaffirms its deep-rooted belief in the transformative power of art to create positive social impact and strengthen cultural connections within the community.
Korea as Guest of Honor
For the first time, the Cairo International Art District welcomes a Guest of Honor Country — South Korea, supported by the Korean Foundation for International Cultural Exchange (KOFICE). The participation includes six leading contemporary Korean artists, marking 30 years of cultural and diplomatic relations between Egypt and South Korea.
