Vodafone Egypt CEO Mohamed Abdallah Appointed to the Support and Development Fund of the Banking Sector to Drive Digital Transformation and Financial Inclusion

The Support and Development Fund of the Banking Sector has announced the appointment of Eng. Mohamed Abdallah, CEO and Managing Director of Vodafone Egypt, and Regional CEO for International Markets at Vodacom Group, as an independent board member.
Abdallah’s appointment comes in recognition of his extensive experience in the telecommunications and technology sectors, as well as his pivotal role in advancing Egypt’s digital transformation and financial inclusion efforts. The move aligns with the Fund’s strategy to leverage expertise from outside the banking industry to accelerate the sector’s digitization and enhance its technological infrastructure.
The initiative reflects the Central Bank of Egypt’s vision to integrate global experience and foster innovation in the development of banking services and human capital—ultimately supporting the creation of a more advanced and resilient financial ecosystem.
