Egypt’s Ministry of Communications Launches “Egypt Innovate” Platform to Empower Startups and Expand Access to Funding and Investment Opportunities

Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Dr. Amr Talaat, announced the official launch of “Egypt Innovate”, a new national digital platform designed to empower startups and entrepreneurs by connecting them to investors, funding programs, and capacity-building resources. The announcement came during his keynote speech at the Techne Summit Alexandria 2025.

A Unified Digital Ecosystem for Entrepreneurs

Dr. Talaat explained that the initiative is part of Egypt’s national vision to build a sustainable and innovation-driven digital economy, reflecting the Ministry’s commitment to creating an integrated digital environment that helps entrepreneurs establish and scale their businesses both locally and globally.

He noted that the new platform represents a strategic step toward unifying entrepreneurship support efforts, bringing together financing, investment, consulting, training, and technical services in one digital ecosystem. The platform enables startups to connect seamlessly with investors, accelerators, and support organizations from both the public and private sectors.

A National Initiative to Foster Innovation

According to Talaat, Egypt Innovate is one of the Ministry’s most significant digital initiatives in 2025, playing a pivotal role in enhancing Egypt’s innovation landscape and attracting new investments. The platform also leverages artificial intelligence tools to analyze markets, identify growth opportunities, and digitally promote startups and their products.

The initiative aims to support startups from ideation to expansion, simplifying their journey through smart tools and real-time analytics. In its first phase, the platform targets the registration of over 70,000 startups, with plans to expand nationwide to include hundreds of thousands of businesses across Egypt.

Empowering Young Talent and Driving Economic Growth

Dr. Talaat emphasized that Egypt Innovate will integrate with the Ministry’s existing programs—such as Digital Innovation Hubs (Creativa Centers) and specialized training initiatives—implemented in partnership with local and international organizations.

“Our goal is to equip young innovators with the skills, digital tools, and infrastructure needed to drive Egypt’s entrepreneurial future,” said Talaat. “This platform is Egypt’s digital gateway for entrepreneurship and a key enabler for startups to scale, attract investment, and compete globally.”
