SEKEM Expands Health Insurance Coverage to 40,000 Farmers via Nice Deer Platform
SEKEM has announced a landmark initiative to extend health insurance coverage to 40,000 farmers across its community, in a move that underscores its long-standing mission to combine vision with responsibility. The step aims to safeguard the wellbeing of thousands of agricultural workers—the backbone of Egypt’s farming sector—while reinforcing SEKEM’s holistic approach to economic, social, and cultural development.
The initiative is being implemented through EcoHealth, in cooperation with the Egyptian Biodynamic Association (EBDA), and enabled by the Nice Deer Platform, Egypt’s leading InsurTech provider. Leveraging Nice Deer’s advanced digital infrastructure, SEKEM will be able to deliver large-scale health coverage with speed, transparency, and efficiency. The platform ensures that farmers access medical care without delays, while minimizing paperwork and enhancing healthcare management through AI-powered tools.
