US Dollar Closes Lower in Egyptian Banks on Thursday; Rates Hold Through Weekend
The US dollar closed lower against the Egyptian pound in Thursday’s banking transactions, with rates set to remain unchanged until trading resumes on Sunday.
At the National Bank of Egypt, Banque Misr, Bank of Alexandria, and First Abu Dhabi Bank, the dollar was quoted at EGP 48.09 for purchase and EGP 48.19 for sale.
Meanwhile, Commercial International Bank (CIB), Qatar National Bank (QNB), SAIB Bank, and Housing and Development Bank posted rates of EGP 48.10 for purchase and EGP 48.20 for sale.
Dollar rates at Arab African International Bank and Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt stood at EGP 48.08 for purchase and EGP 48.18 for sale.
The National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) Egypt offered the greenback at EGP 48.02 for purchase and EGP 48.12 for sale, while Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank Egypt listed rates of EGP 48.00 and EGP 48.10 respectively.
At Crédit Agricole Egypt and Suez Canal Bank, the dollar settled at EGP 48.12 for purchase and EGP 48.22 for sale.
Al Baraka Bank Egypt closed at EGP 48.07 for purchase and EGP 48.17 for sale.
