The National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA) has announced the integration of new digital payment channels into its “Telefoni” mobile application, expanding user options for registering and paying fees for mobile devices via their IMEI number.

Among the new additions, the “Khadamaty” network now allows users to pay through thousands of electronic payment outlets across Egypt, making the process more accessible to users who prefer paying in cash or at neighborhood service points.

In an official statement, the NTRA confirmed that the payment system now supports:

Bank cards issued by all Egyptian banks

Mobile wallets by telecom operators

Meeza prepaid cards

“Khadamaty” retail points

Selected branches of major banks including:

National Bank of Egypt

United Bank

Egyptian Arab Land Bank

Export Development Bank of Egypt

To register a mobile device and pay the associated fees, users need to:

1. Open the “Telefoni” app

2. Select the “Device Fee Payment” service

3. Enter the IMEI number of their device

4. Choose their preferred payment method

Users can either pay instantly via card, wallet, or Meeza, or select “Pay Later” to receive a payment code valid at designated banks or Khadamaty outlets.

This initiative is part of NTRA’s broader effort to enhance Egypt’s digital transformation, offering flexible and secure payment methods that meet the evolving needs of mobile users while ensuring a streamlined and regulated mobile market.
