Central Bank of Egypt Reinstates Daily Cash Withdrawal Limit to EGP 250,000
Effective today, the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) has reinstated the previous daily cash withdrawal limit of EGP 250,000 for both individuals and companies. This move marks the end of the temporary measure issued on July 8, 2025, which had allowed an increased withdrawal cap of EGP 500,000.
In an official circular, the CBE instructed all banks operating in the country to immediately comply with the revised limit and take all necessary steps to ensure smooth implementation in line with regulatory guidelines.
The adjustment reflects a return to standard cash management procedures, following a brief period of relaxed limits aimed at facilitating liquidity needs during recent events.
