The exchange rate of the US dollar remained stable against the Egyptian pound during Saturday’s trading, according to rates recorded at currency exchange outlets and ATM machines operated by local banks.

The steadiness in rates comes amid an extended banking holiday in Egypt due to the official celebration of the June 30 Revolution anniversary and the regular weekend break. As a result, exchange rates continued to reflect the last official update issued on Wednesday.

According to the Central Bank of Egypt, the official dollar rate stands at EGP 49.38 for buying and EGP 49.51 for selling, unchanged since the final trading session of the week.

Major government and private banks reported identical exchange rates as follows:

National Bank of Egypt (NBE):
EGP 49.31 (buying) – EGP 49.41 (selling)

Banque Misr:
EGP 49.31 (buying) – EGP 49.41 (selling)

Bank of Alexandria:
EGP 49.31 (buying) – EGP 49.41 (selling)

Commercial International Bank (CIB):
EGP 49.31 (buying) – EGP 49.41 (selling)

Banque du Caire:
EGP 49.31 (buying) – EGP 49.41 (selling)

The market is currently in a holding pattern as investors and traders await fresh indicators at the start of the new week, particularly in light of mixed global economic signals and anticipated developments from the US Federal Reserve.
