Hesham Mahran Appointed CEO and Managing Director of Orange Egypt

Orange Egypt has announced the appointment of Hesham Mahran as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, effective August 1, 2025. Mahran will take over the role from Eng. Yasser Shaker, who has been named Chairman of Orange Egypt following his recent appointment as CEO of Orange Middle East and Africa, succeeding Jérôme Henique.
With a distinguished career spanning more than 25 years in the telecommunications and information technology sector, Mahran brings a wealth of experience and strategic insight to his new role. He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and has held several senior leadership positions within Orange Egypt.
Most recently, Mahran served as Chief Business Officer, where he played a key role in shaping the company’s enterprise strategy and advancing integrated telecom solutions tailored for the business sector. He also spearheaded numerous strategic initiatives, particularly in digital transformation and infrastructure development. Notably, he led the establishment and management of the state-of-the-art Data Center in Egypt’s New Administrative Capital.
Mahran’s appointment underscores Orange Group’s confidence in Egyptian talent and its steadfast commitment to supporting the country’s digital future. His leadership is expected to drive further innovation and growth across Orange Egypt’s operations.
