MatrixSpace has announced that its MatrixSpace 360 Radar is now using Dell Technologies AI-powered edge computing to advance its radar sensor solutions. By integrating Dell NativeEdge—an advanced edge operations software platform—MatrixSpace enhances the speed, security, and scalability of its situational awareness systems, supporting the evolution of public safety programs and smart city applications.

The MatrixSpace 360 Radar combines a future-ready edge computing architecture with scalable AI software for real-time object detection and classification. The platform simplifies system management and accelerates decision-making without depending on cloud processing. Each radar node, powered by Dell NativeEdge, provides a 360-degree field of view with industry-leading detection range for aircraft and small drones and can be interconnected for broad low airspace awareness coverage.

The City of Palm Springs Police Department is one of the first adopters of this integrated solution. Through a network of MatrixSpace 360 Radars powered by Dell NativeEdge, the department supports its “Drone as First Responder” (DFR) program. This system enables drones to be deployed remotely to emergency scenes, aiding in de-escalation, suspect tracking, search and rescue, and acting as a vital force multiplier.
