NTRA Approves Additional Compensation for Affected Fixed Internet Users Following Ramses Central Fire

As part of its ongoing efforts to mitigate the impact of the recent fire at Ramses Central and ensure the protection of user rights, Egypt’s National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA) has announced additional compensation measures for affected fixed internet subscribers.
The NTRA has mandated internet service providers to offer a free bonus package equivalent to 50% of the main data bundle for prepaid customers who experienced service disruption. Additionally, postpaid subscribers will receive a 30% discount on their monthly bills as compensation for the period of reduced service quality.
These measures come as part of the authority's commitment to monitoring the quality of telecommunications services and ensuring the rights of users are safeguarded.
The NTRA reaffirmed its dedication to closely supervising service providers and maintaining coordination to prevent future disruptions. The authority emphasized that sustaining service quality and maximizing user satisfaction remain top priorities.
